About

I am first and foremost a student, with my daily intention of learning from those and the world around me. I am a graduate of Michigan State University where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, and my Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Cultures and Politics. I am passionate about the use of digital graphics and art to express ideas of social justice and to enact change; as well as the impact we as individuals can make on a community level, as a member of said community.

My pronouns are she/her.

While my Code of Ethics began as a college prompt given to us by our Professor, it is something that I live by in my work as a designer and my overall life as a professional and human. Therefore, this Code is a part of who I am and sits fittingly in the “About” section of my website, as opposed to the “Work.”

The project is an adaptation of Mike Monteiro’s Code of Ethics, which the author discusses in his book Ruined by Design. Our task as students and designers, was to define Monteiro’s codes, or rules for himself and designers, and add an additional three codes of our own. The definitions are written below the bolded codes, and my three additional codes are indented at the bottom.
